The purpose of this letter is to inform you about my experience with acupuncture as an effective and fair priced medical treatment process.

On 2/24/84 I broke vertebrae T7 and T8 and bruise my spinal cord. The doctors told me that I would never walk again. From that point on I was confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of my life. On 9/90 I began acupuncture treatment with Dr. Fu in San Jose. Since then I have been traveling from Hughson, CA, to San Jose, CA, once a week.

Some improvements I have experienced are (1) I have improved motor function which enables me to reciprocal gate with the use of forearm crutches for a distance of one mile per day (2) I no longer need to take spasm medicine (lioresel) because my spasms have been reduced by 90%. (3) The constant aching pain I used to have in my back has been reduced by 90%.

Dr. Fu's treatment consists of putting needles into particular locations on my back and legs, a "moving cup treatment", Asian massage techniques, and a herb treatment.
